By Request, ‘O God Our Help in Ages Past’

I have two hymn requests today, and I’m happy to post them both. In a little while I’ll explain why.

First, requested by Phoebe, O God, Our Help in Ages Past, written by Isaac Watts, sung by the Sharon Mennonite Bible Institute Singers. Would you believe we used to sing this in high school, for assembly? They don’t praise God in public schools anymore, and America is by far the poorer for it.

How beautiful — the hymn and the scenery alike. Thank you, Lee. This is one of my “go to” hymns whenever I especially feel the need for God’s strength. Come to think of it, it’s also one of my “go to” hymns when I’m caught up in love for God and want to praise Him for His goodness.
