Cardinals in the Snow

This is what I saw when I came home from the Y today. Well, not a whole crowd of cardinals, like in the video. Just two, Mr. and Mrs.

When I see something like that, I know that God is with us.

“When I see something like that, I know that God is with us.”

Sometimes the natural world is the best reminder of that fact. They are simple, plentiful and live their lives wither we are around or not, but they are marvelous creatures. In harmony with God, things just seem to work, apart from God, nothing works well.

Whenever the subject of animals comes up, I find myself thinking of Proverbs 12:10 Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast,
but the mercy of the wicked is cruel. Actually, the entire 12th chapter of Proverbs is very encouraging ending in verse 28
In the path of righteousness is life,
and in its pathway there is no death.

It’s a blessing to see things like this.

I haven’t seen any cardinals lately. Interesting how the male species sometimes is the more colorful than their counterpart in nature such as with the cardinal. In the human species the female is by far the most attractive – but wait, can I still say that? 🙂

Beautiful, thank you. I really miss the cardinals that were plentiful in Missouri where I grew up. Never see them here in Idaho. boo hoo
