Bonus Hymn, ‘Thy Word Is a Lamp Unto My Feet’

This hymn came to me just now, just before supper, and I’m going with it: Thy Word Is a Lamp Unto My Feet, by Amy Grant, inspired by Psalm 119.

Thank you all for your prayers for my sister.

Thank you! This is one I sing to myself very often. Love it.

We use this song often in our church liturgy before the Gospel reading. I still like Amy Grant’s version the best. The Christian bookstore I helped manage back in the early ’80’s sponsored an Amy Grant concert. She was still a teenager and Gary Chapman opened for her (who she soon after married). I saw Amy in concert years later with Michael W. Smith, but I enjoyed her more when she was less professional.
