‘His Grace Reaches Me’

I never heard this hymn until this morning: His Grace Reaches Me, sung in dazzling harmony by the Smucker Family. Every now and then, in the absence of a reader request, I like to post a hymn I’ve never heard before.

If you’re new to this blog–and I’m happy to say a lot of you are–I’m just letting you know we take hymn requests from readers: the hymn shop is open to all, and all the merchandise is free, Jesus already paid for it. Just “Leave a Reply” anywhere on the blog, and we’ll do the rest.

  1. Wow! Beautiful! This one is new to me too, Lee, and the timing is, once again, perfect as I head out the door today for my first appointment with the radiologist.

As I look back over the events and unusual occurrences of the past couple years, it’s so easy to see Father’s Hand arranging things. In fact, throughout the past couple years, I’ve said within myself many times – “God’s working here. I don’t know the reason, but I know He is”.

And yes. He has been. An example: Having a local grocer 2 years ago start a shopping service where they do your shopping and deliver it right to your kitchen. God looked ahead of me and saw my need would arise soon. All praise and honor and glory and thanksgiving to Him. Thank You, Father. In the sweet, precious Name of Jesus. Amen.

    1. That’s one of my favorites, and I can’t resist posting it again.
The tune of that hymn haunted me for years. I couldn’t find out its name and never heard the lyrics. Then I stumbled over it on youtube just a few months ago.
