This was written for the Civil War by Julia Ward Howe, but we need it today: The Battle Hymn of the Republic, sung here by Johnny Cash.
Today in our country there are many who wish to destroy our republic, and subject it to some kind of “fundamental transformation” into something else, God knows what. Pray we never find out.
I am now 77 and I remember this. It was at a time when men were men, and women were women, with nothing in between.
That’s only because there is nothing in between.
Almost brings tears to my eyes. What a sweet time it was before all the
satanic intrusion.
That sweet time will come again, and better than before: “for the LORD hath spoken it.”
Yes, you are absolutely correct, Lee, and I so look forward to that time.
Was blessed hearing this from Johnny Cash!
