Well, we’ve got our first snowfall here in New Jersey today–it’s really coming down. The forecast called for flurries. Wrong!
Anyhow, here’s something we don’t often get to see–an elephant calf (at the Toledo Zoo) playing in the snow and genuinely digging it.

I never had any dealings with elephants, but you may understand the way think better than I do. anyway, an interesting video.

He looks like he’s having a lot of fun. It’s amazing how animals from warm places seems to adapt to, and even enjoy, snow.
It would take an elephant a long time to lose enough heat to be uncomfortable.
He seems to be enjoying the snow! I agree: I bet he thinks he’s a mammoth.
