This Blog’s on Fire!

I wish this heavy rain would let up, so I can walk to the post office and get a mailer for Phoebe’s book (I need the exercise). But meanwhile–

Yesterday, for the first time ever, we had over 400 views on this blog for the third day in a row–never happened before. And it’s off to a good start this morning, too. Thank you, readers! And thank you, Christian bloggers, who don’t mind me reblogging some of your posts. You’re welcome to reblog any of mine.

All this, mind you, with my Facebook referrals stripped away. In January, for instance, I had over 700 of them. Now there aren’t any. That I’m doing very well without any help from Facebook is a source of great satisfaction to me.

I look forward today to spending some hours editing the copy for Bell Mountain No. 12, His Mercy Endureth Forever. I was going to go to Keyport in my newly-repaired car to pick up some of the best seafood in America at the Keyport Fishery, but I’d rather not drive on the Parkway when it’s raining.

Ooh-ooh! Is that the sun out there?

    1. Wow! That’s so amazing! And you just started last month?… Double wow…

And you’re welcome, Brother Elijah! Reblogging your posts and others’ is what I enjoy! 🙂

  1. We have had a bit more rain than we like here, too. At least more than I like. I was thinking of requesting the song, It’s Beginning to Rain, but
decided we had enough of that .LOL

  2. OUCH! Maybe your blog is too hot; the keyboard is burning my fingers. Anyway, congratulations on your continuing and increasing success! I’m so glad to be part of this “invasion of the blog snatchers.” Don’t let go – lol.

    1. And of course, as soon as I posted that information, the traffic slowed way, way down. It looks like the streak of 400+ is over. Oh, well, it’s still been a good day.

    2. Welcome to the club. Nothing positive has ever happened to me that wasn’t followed by something negative, not ever in my long life. I do suspect, however, that there may be some interference here because your blog is too good for the demons to resist. When I say “Oh well, it’s still been a good day” it’s the “Oh well…” that “still” bothers me. But when you say it, it means “it’s still been a good day.” It’s just a little turbulence on the ride UP!

  3. It’s a shame about the Facebook referrals, but I fear that is the way of the world.

BTW, comments disabled on the Dogs, Cats & Babies post.

  4. Congrats to Phoebe! After my 10 hours in ER the next day I came down sick with the worst flu in my life (I can’t remember ever having the flu?) and was sick for days and lost nine pounds. Today is the first day I don’t feel nauseated. Normal is a good place 🙂

    1. I had a great doctor for my smashed-up elbow… but then she retired. Can’t even find her on the Internet.
