I had never heard this hymn before today: If I Could Hear My Mother Pray Again, by James Rowe in 1922, sung by His Image Singers. It’s the kind of hymn my mother and my grandma would’ve sung all the time, if they’d known it. It does bring them back to me.
This is a great one. I know that my mother’s prayers and her requests of other to pray for me were influential in my coming into the Kingdom. The love of a mother is a wondrous gift from God.
