Don’t you love it when something from your childhood, revisited many years later, turns out to be every bit as wonderful as you remembered it? For me it was The Jungle Books by Rudyard Kipling.
Pure storytelling by Kipling–almost a lost art, these days.
Kipling’s “The Jungle Books,” truly a classic in the purest sense of the word. So many movies have been made from this timeless story. I guess I love Baloo the best because of his philosophy of only needing the bare necessities – you know, like the Bible’s word of wisdom of “with food and raiment be thou content.”
It even has a lost city in it! How cool is that?
