“‘Sanctuary Cites’–Lawmakers’ Lawlessness” (2017)

Yesterday’s pro-Second Amendment rally at Richmond, Virginia

Democrats started declaring “sanctuary cities” where federal immigration law will not be enforced.

Now they’re chewing the rug because some 100 counties and cities in Virginia have declared themselves “sanctuaries” from whatever new, draconian “gun control” laws the state’s new Democrat legislature might pass.

They don’t like it when it’s done against their laws!

Call me old-fashioned, but I see a difference between an inalienable right, the right to bear arms, specifically guaranteed by the Constitution, and some kind of pseudo “right” to come here illegally and get free stuff, not even suggested in the Constitution.

As chief executive and chief law enforcement officer of the country, the president must protect all citizens’ Constitutional rights. And enforce our immigration laws.

Erasing our country’s borders is criminally insane. Disarming law-abiding citizens is merely criminal.

Apparently, they care nothing about the Constitution; thinking they are above it all.

“As chief executive and chief law enforcement officer of the country, the president must protect all citizens’ Constitutional rights. And enforce our immigration laws.” I’ve got a lot to say about this – after he’s re-elected!

In Federalist No. 78 (6th para), Hamilton shows the Judicial Branch must rely on the Executive Branch to enforce its judgments. If the President, in the exercise of his independent judgment and mindful of his Oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution”, determines that an opinion of a federal court is unconstitutional; his Duty is to refuse to enforce it. The President is also competent to decide whether federal judges have violated the Constitution! Refusing to enforce their unconstitutional judgments is his “check” on the Judicial Branch.

In Federalist No. 81 (8th para), Hamilton shows Congress can impeach and remove from office federal judges who violate the Constitution. Congress is competent to decide whether federal judges have violated the Constitution! Impeachment is their “check” on the Judicial Branch.

So Congress gives a free pass to unconstitutional judges while pursuing impeachment of a president who’s done nothing wrong. And when it comes to guns, neither Congress nor any part of the federal government has constitutional standing to take a position. And it’s a power of the State to make sure our right to keep and bear arms are NOT violated. I don’t see any evidence of our Republic in what’s going on these days.

And what happened to President Trump’s “check” on the judicial branch? Did it bounce?

I think his remedy is to appoint sane, conservative, Constitutionally-minded federal judges. Unfortunately, we still have a lot of Far Left jidrools appointed by Clinton and *Batteries Not Included.

To his credit Pres. Trump did manage to overhaul the 9th Cir of Appeals – no easy feat. However, for 3 years his judicial nominees sat on the empty desks of Congress because the Democrats refused to confirm them and the RINOS pretended it wasn’t their fault.

I sure wish President Trump would stop obeying these renegade judges who stop his agenda and just proceed with what needs to be done instead of waiting for the case to make it to the Supreme Court.

I agree. I know he’s advised by the Chiefs of Staff on military and foreign matters, but I’d like to know who are those who advise him on other matters. The fact that he is (was) not a politician gave him clean hands, but the downside is that DC took advantage of what he didn’t know. He has to his credit sat down with one or two constitutional experts whom I respect. Anyway, I couldn’t agree with you more.

Funny how the Dems are all of a sudden talking about what the Constitution says when they want to harm Trump’s support. The Constitution gives specific things for the Congress to do, so what do the Congresspeople do? They outsource their duties to executive branch departments who can pass laws everyone must abide by when none of these entrenched bureaucrats were ever voted for by the people.
