I only learned recently that this was originally a hymn, not a pop song, so hear we have it as a hymn. Morning Has Broken, sung by the Libera boys’ choir.

I had never thought of it as a hymn either, but it is a nice song, and these singers do very well.
I remember when Cat Stevens released this song and it always struck me as an exceptionally nice song with very positive sentiments. While I would choose differently than he, with regard to beliefs, I have to admire his choice of this song.
Back when he chose it, he wasn’t as confused as he was later to become.
