Holy Moly! Back to Normal!

Loey ✨ on Twitter: "@SsssamanthaaMUA I actually just googled ...

Well, how about this! After the WordPress happiness engineers gave up on my case yesterday afternoon (“Probably a browser problem, can’t fix it from our end”)–like, just a couple of hours afterward–I was attempting to post a cat video. Several difficulties arose.

And then, suddenly, as if by magic–my whole site went back to normal! Suddenly I didn’t have to log in every time I wanted to move from one page to another. Suddenly I had my “Edit” function back–along with the “My Site” button and the little bell to alert me to messages.

I contacted WordPress again to ask them if they’d done something that they hadn’t thought of while they were giving up, and they were honest enough not to take credit for it.

Could it be your prayers? A few of you, you told me, prayed for my computer problems to cease and desist.

What can I say? It sure looked like the answer to a prayer.

  1. A day late…but yesterday for the first time ever everything on the computer became tiny, couldn’t read anything, everything cramped in the center, large blank margins. I went to settings several times trying to figure out what to do there, so I did what made sense to me, but not to the computer, which doesn’t make sense to m. So I squinted and carried on for a short while then suddenly, everything went back to normal and a small box appeared on the screen in lower my-right hand corner, from Microsoft saying my settings have been restored, sorry, they had an app problem that’s been resolved.” Well, between you and I, Lee, it’s almost always THEIR fault, not ours. Sometimes I just wish I could walk into their offices and slap someone around, just a little bit. That’s probably why they’re inaccessible. We’re communicating with ghosts! I wonder if we can really tell if we’re communicating with a person at a computer or a self-running algorithm…

    1. I’m sure I’m not an algorithm.
My computer problems vanished as suddenly and as mysteriously as they appeared.

  2. Well, I’m sure it is the answer to prayers, and that is always what works for me. Today, our power went off for a short time, when I got home, I couldn’t get on line. After prayer, the Lord showed me what to do and voila! here I am again.

  3. Hallelujah! Maybe even the comments will begin to be sent to me again. Wood Press is the only site I visit that gives me computer problems – like that annoying buffering circle and the box that appears that says “WAIT.” visiting
