I admit it’s hard to get an iguana to protect a human baby. Although mine would have probably cuddled with a baby, if he’d had the chance.

It strikes me that these cats have a sense of what they are doing. They understand the need to protect the vulnerable. More than once, when I was not feeling well, I’ve noticed that my cat would stay nearby, quietly comforting me with their presence.
