‘Feminists: Pumpskin Spice Latte is Racist’ (2017)

It magically turns you into a racist!

Remember this? Starbuck’s pumpkin spice latte was “racist”. Because feminists said so.

Feminists: Pumpkin Spice Latte is Racist

Funny, though, isn’t it? Starbuck’s embraces every stupid Far Left “cause” that comes down the pike–and they still get nailed. You just can’t satisfy any of those people.

I think it’s because they really enjoy being offended and angry, and even the slightest excuse will do. And of course you can’t appease people who don’t want to be appeased.

  1. This is very similar to the thinking of some fringe denominations which scrutinize everything that comes along and find something wrong in even the most innocuous of activities. It’s about controls nothing more, nothing less.

  2. I will add that for years, I’ve felt that the Left’s undoing could easily come in the form of breaking into factions which will spend most of their energy attacking one another. I see signs of this already.

    1. It’s happening. Obviously, it doesn’t get much press, but I see signs of it. I’ve heard that the radical feminists are not too pleased with the transgender movement and don’t accept their claims. I’m certain that various points of conflict will continue to develop. Many of these people are quite exclusionary by nature, only flying the flag of inclusiveness as a way to legitimize their own cause. These truces will not hold, in the long run.

    2. It’s called intersectionality. You get points for how many victim slots you fill. Whoever gets the most victim points is the winner and thus the most privileged. Which may seem like a contradiction in terms to you, but that’s because you’re a biggit loser who doesn’t have enough victim points to be a winner.

Of course, you can always do what the also-rans in the intersectionality games do, i.e., make up some new victim classifications (e.g., left-handers, left-handed redheads, left-handed redheads with size 9 shoes, etc.) and then give yourself enough victim points to go ahead of the victim ahead of you.

    3. It is to laugh. I can play that game as well. While by appearance, I’m pretty much of mainstream Scandinavian/British Isles descent, I am of somewhat mixed ethnicity and legally a minority. My Scottish ancestors were no stranger to mistreatment, either and the Scandinavian ancestors suffered at the hands of others. I was raised in very modest circumstances, where even the slightest problem could upset the family finances to the point of being a crisis, and more than once in my adult life, I found myself down to my last dollar.

But I’m not asking for sympathy. I’ve done pretty well for myself, mostly because I’m willing to work and I don’t allow opportunity to slip away. I also thank our Maker for always providing for me. “Seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” But we have to be willing to do our part. If you’re waiting for the ravens to drop food into you mouth, you may end up disappointed.

Everyone can claim some sort of disadvantage, and that’s my point. It’s what we do with the hand we are dealt which will most affect our outcome. At the end of the day, we all stand as individuals.
