No studio: just somebody’s living room. No electronics. Nothing special in the way of acoustics. No instrumental back-up, not even a piano. But oh! how beautifully this hymn is sung!

I love this hymn, in spite of having first heard it sung by Robert Mitchum as the evil pseudo-preacher in “Night of the Hunter.” (Great movie, by the way, even better than the book.)
That movie was the first time I’d ever heard the hymn. I’m so glad it stuck with me.
Me too, Lee. Sometimes when I’m feeling physically or mentally exhausted, I sing it to myself in my mind. It seems to bring me closer to Jesus.
