‘Coming Soon–Crappy Movies’ (2013)

I’ve heard the average movie costs about $100 million to make. You could do an awful lot of good with that much money, and still have some left over for a freakin’ movie.

I shudder to think of what was paid to produce these 2013 clunkers.

Coming Soon–Crappy Movies

I mean, how could you possibly decide which was worse–movies based on comic books, with (ugh!) super-heroes; or The Great Gatsby with a rap “music” soundtrack? Like, what if you had magical powers to get rid of them forever–but you had to choose only one? What a dilemma!

  1. I have no problems with the super hero movies as long as they are TRADITIONAL “heroes.” When you start to get p.c. mixed in, then you have lost whatever good might have come from a true hero.

    1. True heroes are ordinary people who get hard things done in spite of fears and other difficulties. Superheroes are just comic book junk.

  2. Typo alert! Surely you mean “2013 movies,” not “1913 movies”? 🙂 🙂

The last movie I considered worth going to see was “Bella,” a low-profile but well done pro-life movie. Before that, the last one was “Jurassic Park,” which I found to be a bit tedious in parts — and I didn’t find the death of the lawyer in the outhouse amusing in the least. I did, however, predict early on that the first crew member to go would be the smoker. (I may be misremembering some of the details about the characters, other than the way they were killed. It’s been a long time since I saw the movie.)

Yes, I know “Jurassic Park” was a VERY long time ago. The thing is that I just couldn’t get up the interest to go see anything after that, except “Bella,” which I’d heard good things about from people I trusted.
