This is another one of those nooze stories that never had an ending: we don’t know what happened after the National Health Service ordered doctors to snitch on patients who gained weight.
After a couple generations of socialism, I wonder if Britain is going to be good at anything beyond just taking up space on the map.
Government will make you good!
Government will make you healthy!
Back to the cradle, everybody.
And someday there’ll be no one left to rock it.
If things keep going the way they are headed, nobody will be gaining any weight. Food shortages and costs will take care of that. Healthy? No, I don’t think so. I know overweight is not good, but starving is not good either.
Meanwhile, “the poor” are more obese than the middle class.
I wouldn’t know about that. I don’t go round checking out peoples’ weight unless it is really extreme, and I don’t keep track of their incomes either. The gov is so good at all that.
I worked with a Christian lady who developed a physical condition that required a certain prescription drug that caused her to gain weight. The weight-watcher Gestapo would have put her on their list as she ballooned out in a short time.
