I’m pretty sure that’s what this growling gator is trying to tell me: “Go back to bed!”
One should always do what a growling gator says. Maybe two or three hours at rest will do me some good.

Wow, as many times as I have passed them on the trails I never heard the growl. How close did you get???
Given that I live in New Jersey, I seldom come within miles of any alligator. The nearest ones are in the Staten Island Zoo.
