And **I’m** a Pessimist?

Bill O'Reilly gets new show on radio station owned by Trump ally

I heard Bill O’Reilly on the radio this morning. They should’ve played “Taps.”

According to O’Reilly, America’s pretty much going to suck from now on, it’ll never get its mojo back. It’s broken and can’t be repaired. Libs and their playmates broke it. So the only thing you can do is just try to save up as much money as you can, as a hedge against whatever fiascos the government chooses to indulge in.

I object. Oh, more than a few people call me a pessimist. Nevertheless, I object.

At a time of His choosing, our sovereign, righteous God will establish the throne of Jesus Christ on earth. The tares will be gathered up and thrown into the fire. All Creation will be regenerated.

And then the history of humanity will really begin.

In the meantime, “Occupy until I come.” Jesus said it. We’ll do it.

  1. Oh, where is Rush with his can-do attitude when you need him?

But yes, civilizations have collapsed before, as my old dissertation director (and later friend) once reminded me.
