Our family dog, Rags, used to pretend to be asleep; and when birds would come to drink from his water dish, he’d catch and eat them.
How do these parakeets know the dogs won’t eat them? But then I’ve never seen a timid parakeet. Have you?

I’ve always thought that parakeets were about the cutest creature God ever made, and they have a wonderful personality. When I see these animal videos, my mind goes to the restoration of creation, and what it will be like when humans and animals live in peace.
Those little birds have big personalities.
They are delightful creatures.
They really are cute, and some are quite “talkative”. My paternal grandparents had several cages of special birds in a sunroom in their house, and they were very much fun to watch.
A lot of what parakeets say must sound to them like human speech.
