When I look around at the fly-blown mess that’s been made of our country in just the last two years, it’s as if Donald Trump’s term in the White House never happened. All the good he did in four years, Democrats undid in just weeks and months. God pity us, look at us now!
And it’s my generation’s fault.
We went to college in the 1960s and 70s. We took over from our fathers and mothers and started killing the culture. My mother used to say it was maybe because we had it too easy. I’m beginning to suspect she was right.
Paul Simon maybe said it best: “When I think back on all the crap I learned in high school, it’s a wonder I can think at all.”
It astounds me that our culture has returned to the folly that was the late ‘60s.
With a few even bigger follies and abominations tacked onto it.
I know. It’s astounding.
The majority of the population is more concerned with nonsense and nobody cares about truth and righteousness, and in fact have no idea what it is. We will pay for it.
That’s a fact. A lot of people are much more concerned with superhero characters in movies than with matters of substance.
Love that line from Paul Simon’s song. It was really true when I came to faith in the Bible as the Word of God when I was 74.
74? I thought I was older than you!
