Nobody here but us crickets.
In the wake of the Ol’ Pandemic, almost a quarter million public school students are unaccounted for (https://www.breitbart.com/education/2023/02/09/hundreds-of-thousands-of-students-didnt-return-to-school-after-the-coronavirus/), says a study by Stanford University.
Some parents switched their kids to private school: that’s 4 to 8 percent. Homeschooling surged, up 30 percent nationwide and an amazing 65 percent in New York.
But that still leaves some 240,000 kids not back in school in 21 states and nobody seems to know where they are.
I’m guessing there are some tens of thousands of parents who said “Enough is enough” and meant it. I don’t blame them: government and teachers’ unions are not good for anyone’s children.
First they banned kids from being in school and scared the kids (and their parents) senseless about how dangerous the schools were. Then they wonder why the kids won’t go back into those half-forgotten but still-scary schools.
Break the teachers’ unions, and Far Left Crazy dies.
You’d also have to break the teachers’ colleges, which turn out a zombie swarm of woke ignoramuses.
Oh, yes, absolutely! Most of this poison is brewed up in the teachers’ colleges.
I suspect that a lot of parents came to realize that the schools were no longer teaching, so much as they were indoctrinating.
