Nobody here but us crickets.
In the wake of the Ol’ Pandemic, almost a quarter million public school students are unaccounted for (https://www.breitbart.com/education/2023/02/09/hundreds-of-thousands-of-students-didnt-return-to-school-after-the-coronavirus/), says a study by Stanford University.
Some parents switched their kids to private school: that’s 4 to 8 percent. Homeschooling surged, up 30 percent nationwide and an amazing 65 percent in New York.
But that still leaves some 240,000 kids not back in school in 21 states and nobody seems to know where they are.
I’m guessing there are some tens of thousands of parents who said “Enough is enough” and meant it. I don’t blame them: government and teachers’ unions are not good for anyone’s children.
