By Request: ‘Good Good Father’

Requested by Susan–Good Good Father, by Chris Tomlin.

We have to run out and stock up on groceries for The Big Storm that’s supposedly heading our way. I’ll believe it when I see it. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of time for worship songs today.

  1. We have a storm coming, too, so I may be shutting down my system when the storm begins — or the storm may forcibly shut down all my systems before I have a chance to do it. Don’t worry if you don’t hear from me for most of the day. I won’t even use my phone to go online, so I can conserve battery power.

    1. No landline. They’ve been doing away gradually with all landlines around here, and newer buildings — including the one I moved into seven years ago — don’t even have wall jacks or connections. It’s all cell phones all the time. I’ve heard that when people who’ve had landlines move, telephone companies switch their service to satellite even if the new buildings still have wall jacks.

When I moved, I lost not only my landline telephone but also my DSL internet connection. Had to go cell and cable. I made sure my internet and phone services were from different companies, though, so at least I’d have a fighting chance if one or the other went down. But during a storm, I still miss my landline.
