It used to be, when I started this blog in the morning, I’d find a hundred views already waiting for me. Now it’s more like twenty. When I closed down at bedtime, it’d be with upwards of four hundred views. Now I’m lucky if I get two hundred.
I have no idea why.
Then there’s the business of finding illustrations for one’s posts. I don’t know who’s in charge, but whoever they are–are they quite all there? I type in “images of loutish teenagers” and I get stills from a movie about a queen of alligators. I ask for “soak your head” and get images of soaking your feet. Don’t they know the difference between head and feet?
I asked for “images of Storm Troopers” and all I got was **** from Star Wars.
Tell me again why we would ever want computer chips implanted in our heads.

I know what you mean. It seems nothing works properly any more. I had a horrible time getting to sleep last night, and staying asleep once I did. But I woke up thinking of the song

Well, I was at the computer all morning today, but not online. I was doing the monthly budgeting and check-writing, juggling several spreadsheets and a database. And now I’m trying to catch up on all the emails and blog links I didn’t get to this morning. But even when I’m rushed like this and can’t respond to your posts, I always read them. I can’t say the same for all the emails and blog links I just deleted unread from my inbox.
Oh, those political emails from no-hope candidates!
A lot of it may be that so many people now consider what they think as so important they have to broadcast it to the world. The Internet is flooded with sites and pods and reels, etc., so choices have become overwhelming, i.e. the World Wide Web’ broth has been spoiled.
Years ago, there were only three or four channels on TV to watch, but you always found something to watch. Now with cable’s hundreds of channels, sometimes you can’t find a descent thing to watch.
I’ve noticed that; so we don’t have cable, it’s not worth it.
