So this nice couple in Kentucky took advantage of a big snowstorm to build a great big snowman. They built it around a massive, sturdy tree-trunk for a base.
And some ninny, for reasons not mentioned in the nooze report, decided to use his motor vehicle to demolish the snowman. Why in the world did he decide to do this?
Bad move. The tree-trunk wasn’t going anywhere, and the motor vehicle came off second-best in the collision.
Why did he want to knock down the snowman? That’s one for the Durants.
Culture rot in action…
Should be a caution to anyone who has destruction in mind. Doesn’t always turn out in their favor.
That’s hilarious, and poetic justice. A few thoughts …
First off, that’s private property. If someone builds a snowman, it belongs to them, not someone driving by. Leave other people’s property alone.
Secondly, things aren’t always what they appear to be. There was a pile of snow in a parking lot, many years ago, that my father wanted to ram with his car, but fortunately, he didn’t go through with it. When the thaw came, he noticed that the pile of snow surrounded a fire hydrant. He ducked a bullet.
Thirdly, even a snowman without a tree trunk as its base could still do a lot of damage. A few days of exposure to the sun, followed by the deeper freeze of night could result in more than a little snow having partially melted and then frozen as ice. Even relatively soft snow could do some damage, if there was enough of it.
That’s the way I approach bags or other kinds of debris on the road, I avoid them not knowing what might happen to be inside of them.
Don’t even ask–there are some things it is better for mankind not to know.
In Wisconsin in the fall, don’t run over piles of leaves that might happen to be in the street. Sometimes children like to play and hide in those piles.
For sure.
That’s a very upsetting thought.
