
Back in 2015 I was reading and reviewing a lot of teen-lit. Eventually I had to stop: those books were creeping me out.
I wonder if I ought to start again. Has young adults’ fiction gotten any better, or is it even more sinister and toxic than it was ten years ago? Waddaya think?
It’s worse. Most everything now is in the form of graphic novels – looks of gools and dark magic.
I believe our “education” system purposely works to reduce literacy.
I agree, a literate peasant is too dangerous for some of these tyrants. Kids raised on this garbage will inevitably face some harsh life lessons.
