I eat a lot of blueberries, and it’s nice to know I could share them with my pet rabbit, if I had one. I shared many suppers with my turtle. You should have seen him go for lobster. I’ve never had a bunny.

I’ve never had a pet bunny either. We had a cage full when we lived on the ranch in Wa., and I fed them various table scraps which they always seemed to love.
What an appealing little creature and a snappy dresser, too. 🙂 I’ve never had a rabbit, but I’ve known people who had them, and loved them.
As far as sharing food is concerned, my cat insists on a sample of anything I eat. When I get to the city, I usually buy a take out salad with grilled chicken. My cat insists upon my sharing that chicken with her, and can be quite persuasive. I feel guilty if I don’t giver her some.
Even a small turtle can be quite assertive where favorite foods are concerned. Our painted turtle had a yen for lobster.
When there is chicken involved, my cat is quite assertive. I’m glad she’s no bigger than she is, at such times.
Our turtle should have known we’d never fail to include him when passing out the lobster; but as soon as he smelled it… well, climb out of the turtle tank and make a beeline for the table.
Isn’t it amazing how even the simplest of creatures have personalities.
Who says turtles are simple?
Good point.
