I really screwed this up yesterday, but today we’re back on an even keel with my Newswithviews column.

  1. Well, it seems to me we would be hard pressed to sell any country these days. They all seem to be impossibly screwed up now, and unless we would all seek God and sincerely desire to go His way… well we know from what we read in His Word, it is not going to happen. Sob…

  2. That tactic for “getting out the vote” is an old one. My friend and I, barely nineteen, were asked by the local Democrat party leader if we would take a list of registered Democrats and go, knock on their doors, remind them to vote. We also were Democrats and were happy and eager to help the cause. It was on an Election Day. We were nearly two-thirds of the way down the list when the Dem leader found us and quickly grabbed the list out of our hands. Then he took out a wad of money and shoved it into our hands. He then chased us away with the words, “don’t tell nobody!” And I haven’t until this day. I guess it wasn’t the right thing for us to be doing, huh?
