Never know when it comes to cats and dogs. My son’s female dog once had 4 cats join her on the deck out front, lounging around with her for days, and she was very gentle with them; seeming to enjoy their company..but… now she seems to hate the cats that hang around out in the back yard. She tries to bite them, steal their food, etc.. who knows./
She makes a distinction between good cats and bad cats. My iguana did that, too.
Puppies see the world as an amusement park for dogs, and anything that moves must be another puppy, that wants to play. Cats see puppiess as undignified creatures whom require lessons in behavior, and cats are willing to teach the lessons. I noticed that by the end, there were signs that the cat was becoming less repulsed by the notion of being around a puppy.
