Some of the stuff they come out with really is crazy. Really.
You could compile a 50-volume set of Educators Say the Darnedest Things. But given that it always boils down to the same old ca-ca, you could probably get away with not updating it.
Here’s an example from a site called “PsychQuotes,” currently up for sale and reduced to being a commercial for itself.
We may say that Public Education has misled us, gulled us, pulled the wool over our eyes, we didn’t know what was goin’ on in there, etc. etc. etc.
But these people have always published their views for anyone to see. It’s truly amazing, how they’ve gotten away with it. Hiding in plain sight, as it were.
John Dewey helped write the Humanist Manifesto and signed his name to it but it didn’t ever cause a ripple in the public’s faith in public education. There are none so blind who will not see.
Back then, public education was many times less obnoxious and destructive as it is now.
