Holy cow, it’s raining money! Must be time for a new teachers’ contract.
As the Chicago teachers’ union negotiates for a new, $10 billion contract, it comes to light that almost a third of them (31%) send their kids to private schools (https://www.breitbart.com/education/2024/08/16/nearly-one-three-chicago-public-school-teachers-keep-their-kids-out-public-schools/).
Including the union president… who makes almost $300,000 a year.
Ten billion smackers. That’s one fifth of the state of Illinois’ total budget.
Guess they’d better raise the taxes again.
