Cat, Chicks… and a Sanity Break

Is God trying to tell us something? Show us something? “It can be this way for you, you foolish humans! Pay attention! Look!” The arch-predator cuddles baby chicks and their mother hen drifts into sleep… If they can do it, so can we.

  1. This is a lovely video. It’s so peaceful and heartwarming. The cat obviously is aware that these are babies and have to be treated gently. The mother hen is obviously aware that the cat is not going to bring any harm to her young, and the chicks seem to know that they are safe. This Cat’s Diary channel is excellent, and very well produced. My impression is that this is done by a young boy in Japan, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some parental involvement, as well.

    When I think of the state of this fallen world, I can find myself fighting back tears. Life on this planet was never designed for the things that happen in our fallen state, and the animal world has suffered greatly because of it. This is not to minimize human suffering, which has been horrid, but when I see animals, I am struck by how good natured animals can be.

    There is no doubt in my mind that God uses the animal kingdom to teach us. YouTube has shown us so many videos which show animals that are normally dangerous, behaving differently from what I would have ever expected. Large species of felines, Mountain Lions, Lynx, even Lions, Jaguars and in at least one case, a Leopard, living in close proximity to humans, harmlessly. I’ve seen examples of even alligators that show no aggression to humans.

    I’m not suggesting that anyone approach wild animals and expect them to act tamely, but the examples I’ve seen on YouTube serve to show what is possible.

    I believe strongly that the earth will be restored in God’s due time, and our relationship with the animal kingdom will also be restored. Every life comes from God, and while animals are not made in His image, they are still precious, even a batch of chicks cuddling with a cat.

  2. This is the way our Heavenly Father wants people to behave toward one another, and it will be wonderful when this becomes possible.

    2. The Kingdom is all about bringing events on earth back under the authority of the Creator. Once that happens, life will be much better.
