‘Hark, the Herald Angels Sing’ (In August)

Yes, I know it’s Labor Day weekend. I don’t care: this is the hymn I want this morning.

Hark, the Herald Angels Sing–written by Charles Wesley in 1739. Performed here by the Bach Choir and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

  1. Good to hear that the angels are singing. All we get here is trivia and bad news. Great to know there is a place where things are joyful. Blessings to you.

  2. It almost felt, as if I was a boy again, listening to that song and it was really Christmas time…yeah, just something about the way it was sung, so wonderful, brings back great memories. It’s hot here, but still it seems I can see snow falling outside…due to that song…

  3. I have a suggestion for one of Carroll Roberson’s great songs: Down From His Glory. If you have time for it, I think it would bless us.
