Hats off to Louisiana’s governor, Jeff Landry
Some good news for a change! Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry has signed an executive order banning the teaching of “Critical Race Theory” in Louisiana’s public schools (https://amgreatness.com/2024/08/30/louisiana-governor-signs-executive-order-banning-critical-race-theory/).
It would be a very good thing for America if other governors followed suit.
The catalyst for this was, in 2021, the shutting down of schools in the COVID panic. Children had to stay home and endure “remote learning” via their computers. And so for the first time parents got to hear what their kids were being taught–and they didn’t like it.
CRT proposes a state of perpetual enmity between white Americans–“the oppressors!”–and everybody else–“the oppressed.” Honk if you think this is a good thing for racial harmony and societal cohesion. Normal people think it’s evil, stupid, and just plain wrong.
Expect the Far Left Crazy teachers’ unions to fight this, tooth and nail. Again, those who actually do promote racism accuse the rest of us of doing it: hypocrisy on steroids.
It is a means of stirring up hatred, disrespect. Just what we need more of, eh?
Our Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders did this her first day in office! She recently commented on the first public interview of Kamala Harris since being the Dem candidate for President by saying Harris needed her emotional comfort pet with her during it, VP candidate Tim Waltz.
That such a candidate could even be considered is a disgrace to our country.
