‘Prayer Request: Our Country’ (2017)

Biblical prayer for healing of body and soul

Jeremiah at prayer

I prayed the Lord last night to give me sleep–it’s been hard to come by lately–and He did, which is why I’m so late this morning.

Infinitely more importantly, I pray Him to heal and save our country–rescue her out of the claws of the ungodly.

Prayer Request: Our Country

We are very much in a situation calling for all hands on deck. I know it’s been said before, but this time I think it’s for real: America as we know it cannot survive another Democrat presidency.

God commanded Jeremiah to stop praying for his country, Judah. Her sins were too many and too grave, and the repentance too thin and shallow (if there was any at all).

We have not yet reached that point. Pray hard that we never do! And work had for it, too. Work hard to stop it.

  1. I fully agree with you, and I do my best to accomplish whatever I can for the Lord– and for my fellow believers

    1. I could express opinions on where I think things will go, but I’ve come to realize that when it comes to predicting future events, I am not very skilled. In Revelation, we are told that power will be given the Beast, and when that time comes, God’s will prevails. After over five decades of interest in the Bible, and more than a little study and research, I’ve come to the conclusion that God’s word gives us enough information to recognize prophecy, when it is fulfilled, but it doesn’t give us enough information to predict the timing of these events.

In my prayers, I always point out that much of what is happening in the US is against the will of many millions of decent people, and that while many have abandoned moral sense, there are still very many who seek to live moral, decent lives and want no part of the bad things that we see happening, these days. With that in mind, I ask God to protect our nation from evil.

In Mark 11:14, Jesus cursed a fig tree, saying ‘May no one ever eat fruit from you again.’ And his disciples heard it.”.

Resuming in Mark 11:20, it says:
“As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. 21 And Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.” 22 And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

Whatever happens, we have the power of the Living God to protect those whom remain faithful, and the blessed assurance of a boundless future, under righteous conditions.

  2. Friday night I went to one of the 256 American churches and churches from around the world hosting the live streaming of the Oasis Church in Ohio’s prayer meeting for revival, repentance, and an outpouring of healings for God’s people. God allowed the Internet to be used to spread the Gospel, but as usual demonic, greedy people have gotten control of it to play God. There is so much territory the Church has lost since the end of WWII, we need to pray and take it back like it all depends on us, and exercise faith knowing it all depends on Christ.
