When are they going to change her into a large man with problems?
Disney Corp is treating itself to “massive re-shoots” of their live-action Snow White–which was supposed to come out this year, but no dice. Now they’re saying 2025. We can’t imagine how much money has been tossed away on this.
Apart from the question of “Why bother to remake a classic cartoon that everybody has loved for decades?”, what do they think they’re doing? The new Snow White is sort of brownish. And the Seven Dwarfs–
Would you believe they’re now seven normal-sized hipsters? No, I’m not making it up: you’ll find it in the last paragraph of the linked article above. The dwarfs are now, like, five-foot-ninish, and described here and there as “seven hipsters.” This is to “avoid re-enforcing stereotypes.” You do that by creating other stereotypes.
So Snow White isn’t gonna be snow-white, the dwarfs aren’t gonna be dwarfs, they’ve already dissed the Handsome Prince as a sexual predator… and what the dickens is left of it? Why are they bothering to make this movie?

Somehow, I think that the people behind these sorts of things are obsessed with all the same things they claim to be tolerant of.
The dwarves were in it until a certain high-profile dwarf actor berated Disney for “promoting stereotypes” by depicting them “living in a cave” (making it obvious he never actually saw the movie—they live in a cottage). (Note: I am NOT defending Disney—they’re evil enough on their own). Disney then fired the dwarves and replaced them with “seven magical beings”. The dwarves were eventually replaced with CGI, making the whole situation worse. But Disney changed other things like how she no longer helps them clean up the cottage but designates them to do it because she’s a “girl boss” who can’t be seen doing housework (never mind she was paying them back for their hospitality in the original). And THIS character’s fairness isn’t in her beauty but her “ability to lead, her sense of justice”. Barf. The actress herself is vile and spews hateful things then whines that she’s the victim, compounding all Disney’s other problems with a marketing disaster. I’m not sad to see Disney fail, for all they promote. This is just one more turd they tried to shore up their failing agenda.
It’s truly asinine. This is the world, there is this thing known as dwarfism. Other than a very childish person, no one rational would ridicule someone for being afflicted with dwarfism. In my Jr. High there were brothers, possibly even fraternal twins; one being unusually tall and the other with dwarfism. No one, even back in the pre-woke age, ever ridiculed either of them.
“Snow White” comes from a tradition of Germanic and Norse myth in which Dwarfs are a species in their own right (and so are Elves–Tolkien picked up on this). In the folklore they are NOT just “little people.” They are full-sized Dwarfs. They don’t need to be changed because they already are as they were created.
Trust the wokies to miss that.
