I’m supposed to write a Newswithviews column today. I estimate my chances of actually doing that to be around 25%. I’ve got three doctor visits today, two at the hospital.
Maybe if I sit outside in the sun for a bit, something will come to me. It’s been weeks since I had a good night’s sleep.
Oh–and isn’t anybody going to kick off the contest. Finish the sentence in 25 words or less: “I despise and distrust the mainstream news media because _______,” Coolest answer wins an autographed book. And I’ll share the more entertaining replies day by day.
But now let me go rest a bit.
I could complete that sentence, but I would find it hard to do so in polite terms. 🙂
Me too. Maybe I could do the reverse: “I appreciate the mainstream news media because they give me an opportunity to fight my impulses toward anger and vituperation.”
I appreciate the Mainstream Media because they allow me to verify that the “Off” button on my remote is functional. I gave up on TV many years ago, and most Internet news sources are likewise of little worth.
That might be just a little too subtle for the job at hand. But we’ll see.
…because I am allergic to lies and every time I peek in on the MSM and how they are slanting the news 180 degrees I break out in hives.
