Thursday night my catheter stopped working, we called the ambulance, and I was whisked off back to the hospital–this time the emergency room.
Back after only two weeks on the road! Don’t miss this return engagement!
I was there all day and into the night. They changed my catheter–pain too intense for me to describe–and mostly left me lying in a gurney in the hall all day while they changed their minds about what to do with me. First I’m going home, then I’m staying over night, flip-flop, flip-flop.
When the ambulance finally took me home last night, there were three men in our apartment whom the hospital sent to equip me for home treatment. Our living room is now full of electronic doo-dads. I have no idea what they’re for. We are also to get a visiting nurse twice a day.
Anyhow, I didn’t die. I will try to keep plodding forward.
So glad to hear from you! Prayers continue your way.
Oh, Lee, how dreadful! I’m stepping up my prayers for you.
I’m sorry to hear that you had to go through this. Hopefully this will be the last setback.
Looks like they also wrecked our computer.
It never seems to stop, when it comes to computers.
Prayers continuing.
Oh, dear, so sorry to hear this. The first part of the situation is familiar to me too, but the rest, I have not experienced. I will certainly keep you in serious prayer. I have a lady friend living in K.C. who has experienced much the same things as you mention. She is back home, with care givers, and is a great prayer warrior. I will pass on your need to her– I know she will understand and will pray with us.
Thanks, Erlene.
Boy, did that hospital crew make a shambles of this apartment…
So very, very sorry to hear of this update on where you are currently “living”, Lee!!! I am going to be 80 this year, and right now I am recovering from a bad fall that I had yesterday. My sympathies go to you, as your health problems are so much worse that what I am going through right now. Praying for you, for the Lord’s mercy and help!
Thanks–and I wish I knew your name so I could pray for you.
My Moms home care was the best, I pray the same for you
Thanks, Lisa. Our home care is going to take a lot of getting used to.
You are in our prayers Lee.
Thank you, Mike–I need all the prayers I can get.
