President Trump has hit the ground running.
His latest executive order pulls federal funding from public school districts that (ahem!) “teach” gender ideology, Critical Race Theory, transgender, and all the rest of it (https://www.breitbart.com/education/2025/01/29/trump-to-sign-executive-order-defund-schools-teach-gender-ideology-critical-race-theory/).
He has given the Dept. of Education 90 days to work up a plan to “weed out” all the Far Left Crazy stuff. After that, teachers and administrators who continue doling out pseudo “education” will face consequences. It might not stop with stopping the funds.
America needs this! When the COVID scare shut down the schools and required lessons online, at home, parents finally saw what kind of guff the teachers’ unions and teachers’ colleges were serving up as “education.” Their indignation made this new executive order possible.
Good news at last!
This will be interesting to watch. I don’t think that most parents want the schools teaching these things, but the resistance will be stiff.
Well, it is about time! Actually, far past time for this. Parents should be horrified by the garbage their children endure. It is shameful. Even in my two sons’ school years, my husband and I had to go and confront some things going on in schools, and even then,
it was nothing as sickening as the stuff that has come up since then.
So wonderful we have a president who will enforce common sense as much as he is able!!!
The federal dept. of education is also on the chopping block, sending education to the States where it belongs. Now to get the States’ out of the education business and privatize it.
