California Gov. Gavin Newsom somehow got his donors to pony up $97.000 for a bronze statue of… well, him (https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2025/03/11/revealed-gavin-newsom-secretly-funded-monument-to-himself-inside-san-francisco-city-hall/). It is currently on display in San Francisco City Hall.

I do wonder what our country’s founders would have thought of her officials coming on like Third World tin-horn tyrants.
I think the current state of affairs in our world would be a puzzlement to almost anyone. I often think that I’m glad my forebears did not have to suffer the knowledge of the things I am seeing.
