A Bit of God’s Stuff

There’s something about this video so sweet, so tender, that it’s bringing tears to my eyes and prayers to my heart.

The mother gorilla and the mother human show each other their babies–and the gap between two completely different beings melts shut.

What hath God wrought!

  1. This actually brought tears to my eyes. In His original plan, animals were to live in peace, and not suffer. The animal kingdom are the innocent victims of mankind’s fall.

Animals are smart. They have limited comprehension of our spoken words, and can only vocalize signals, and not symbolic language, but their intelligence is impressive. This mother gorilla got it. She assessed what she was seeing, and wanted to share with the human.

Animals have dear hearts, and they are honest. They know how to fit in, and even understand humor. The dog I used to have would tease me, grabbing something of mine and playing keep away. My cat loves to jerk my chain, but it’s a game we play. She loves to sleep on my lap, which is what she does as much as possible. Most importantly, with almost any animal, if they are treated with kindness, they respond with something I can only describe as love.

The good news, literally The Good News, is that God’s original plan will not be thwarted, and under Christ’s reign, and then on into eternity, when Christ turns all things back to His Father, this blessed state will be permanently restored.

    1. Animals are the most dear-hearted creatures. Living where I do, I encounter all sorts of animals when I take my bike rides. I always greet them vocally. I’ve “converted” several dogs who would bark aggressively into tail-wagging, friendly critters that greet me eagerly, every time I see them. There are some relatively friendly horses, as well, and I get the occasional whinny when I greet them. The mule deer usually flee when I come by, but I’ve had some small handful that seemed more curious, than afraid.
