Please, everybody, life up prayers for our sister in Christ (and the senior member of our blogging community), Erlene. She’s been having a hard time lately.
Erlene, hang in there! We’re all with you in prayer.
Please, Father in Heaven: be gracious, be merciful to your servant Erlene. Let her be with us a little longer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I pray for Erlene every day, and I’ll offer up my Night Prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours for her tonight.
Thank you. I always pray for you and all of our friends, and thanks to Lee for posting the request.
I’m just glad to hear from you.
Thanks, Phoebe.
Erlene, you are in my prayers. Getting on up in years is a real challenge, but greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.
May the words of the Lord bring comfort.
“I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave; thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment, in his favour is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalms 30: 1-5
Thank you so much for those encouraging words. They are a comfort to me.
Amen!
