Just tryin’ to get in synch with the stars!
Once upon a time traders from Teotihuacan, near Mexico City, ventured far into the south, into what is now Guatemala. In one of their settlements they set up an altar. And on it they sacrificed human children.
Well, we can’t have that in the nightly nooze! It messes up the narrative! So the noozies sought and found another professor who, although she had nothing to do with the archaeological discovery, comforted the troops with this:
“It’s not that they were violent, it was their way of connecting with the celestial bodies.”
Whew, that’s better! Eventually all those bloodthirsty native cultures would’ve given up human sacrifice in favor of singing Kumbaya and would’ve lived happily ever after. But alas! European white people showed up and wrecked the almost-there paradise.
We do not know why native American civilizations were so deeply involved with human sacrifice. Modern leftids like to make excuses for them.
We are not obliged to believe them.

We have a pro-life movement. They didn’t. We need to make ours stronger.
BTW, several ancient civilizations–we have no evidence that they interacted with each other–had human sacrifice: Egypt (First Dynasty only), China, Sumer, and ancient Greece. All of these eventually gave it up.
This just goes to show how far people will go to avoid acknowledging what is true and good.
