Why cats and dogs take so much guff from cockatiels is one for the Durants. Look for more of those unexpected animal friendships.
Also look for two critters you hardly ever see in video–a softshell turtle and a bush baby.

Soft-shell turtle/bush baby videos don’t get much better than this. 🙂
I’m always amazed by how bold domestic birds are.
I’ve lived that scene with the cat trying to get what was in the bowl. I guess that’s just cats, for you.
cats always want what’s in the bowl
Mine wants at least a taste of everything. What I find surprising is that she seems very enthusiastic about spicy foods. I don’t give her more than a little taste, but she’s very enthusiastic whenever something spicy is available.
The other day, I had some popcorn and she went crazy for it. I’d give her little pieces of popcorn and she gobbled it right down.
Despite the fact that they are obligate carnivores, cats sometimes eat a surprising variety of stuff.
My cat has a taste for pizza and an unusual degree of interest in alcohol.
Does she know how to use a corkscrew? It would not surprise me if she did. Cats can figure anything out.
She’s working on it. 🙂
Get a lock for your liquor cabinet.
Too late, I found a copy of Locksmithing for Felines hidden under her cat bed. 🙂
Ha Ha!
She’s plotting, as I type.
