I swear time can expand or contract–or at least that’s the perception you get about it.
Today for example I had a couple of very small things to do. The first one was to renew my AMAC membership. AMAC is the conservative answer to AARP (which is pretty left-wing) and I’ve been a member for quite a few years. Should take about 5 minutes, tops, right? I wasn’t writing a check–I was just paying on line which is really quick. Well after I paid it, I looked at my watch and 20 minutes had gone by. No way. My watch, by the way, is fine. No problem there. The other thing I had to do was check on an email. Ditto. When I was done with it, about 20 minutes had gone by. Is 20 minutes the new 5 minutes? Am I just slowing to a crawl?
Weird.
That being said I better finish up and start my supper before it suddenly becomes 9 o’clock.
Have a good night, all.
See you tomorrow.
God bless everybody.
Patty
Computers seem to gobble up time, like nothing else.
Especially if you enter the scrolling world.
That’s why they use scrolling. It is deliberately designed to keep people engaged.
It does work.
Absolutely.
