It’s Sunday–let’s relax!
It’s as easy as falling out of a boat, and practically anyone can do that. I never mastered the art of falling out of a boat, but a friend of mine had a black belt in it. A boat didn’t even have to be in the water for him to fall out. How many times have I seen the waters close over his astonished face?
The thing that fascinates me about boat fails is that they’re all so easily avoidable. I mean, how do you manage to crash into something that’s in plain sight with plenty of room to maneuver around it? If people drove cars like they drive boats–well, it doesn’t bear thinking of.
I suppose I shouldn’t laugh at these boating and fishing mishaps; but really, they’re all so easily avoidable!
To operate a car on public roads, you have to demonstrate that you can, in fact, drive the blinkin’ car and you understand the rules of the road. But to operate a high-powered boat, well–all you need is the boat.
