By Request, ‘Just a Closer Walk With Thee’

Erlene, I hope this is the one you wanted–Just a Closer Walk with Thee, sung by Carroll Roberson. His voice is a musical instrument.

You all out there, I know you enjoy these hymns, but you’ve also been letting Erlene and Linda to all the heavy lifting: so I’d like to hear from more of you. Let’s post your favorite hymns. As an added inducement, that’s that much less time I have available for reporting transgender news and bunk like that.

By Request, ‘Is There a Mountain’

Erlene, you asked for it, so here it is: Is There a Mountain, by Carroll Roberson.

Everybody else out there–remember, the hymn shop is always open. Request a favorite hymn, and I’ll post it here.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

By Request, ‘Just Go By What Jesus Has Done’

Before I go off to the nursing home to see my aunt, let me post a couple of hymns–fortification for the day.

This is Just Go By What Jesus Has Done, by Carroll Roberson. Requested by Erlene.

By Request, ‘All the Glory’

Erlene, I hope this is the hymn you wanted: Carroll Roberson performing All the Glory.

Will anybody mind if I don’t do any news today? We just forked over a $300 car repair bill and i just can’t face any news. My blood pressure is up in the stratosphere again today. It’s coming down now.

I’m in the mood for some cat video.

By Request, ‘A Moment of Time’

Requested by Erlene, A Moment of Time, sung by Carroll Roberson.

I know you’re listening to these hymns, folks–and I hope you know that the hymn shop is open to you, open to everybody, day and night. If there’s a hymn you’d like to hear, just let me know and I’ll post it.

By Request, ‘The Way’

Carroll Roberson sings The Way–on a nice morning in the country. Thanks for the request, Erlene–I think everybody will enjoy this.

And for those of you who are still trying to bring yourselves to venture into the hymn shop–yo, everything in here is free!

By Request, ‘All the Glory’

After all that business about politics, let me get back on course and rinse out my brain with some of that living water that Jesus had to give (see John 4, the Samaritan woman at the well: one of my favorite chapters in the Bible). So, by reader request, here’s All the Glory, performed by Caroll Roberson.

In fact, this request almost slipped through the cracks, but I like to go back over the comments in case I’ve missed one. So if you’ve got a hymn, anybody, that you’d like to see posted here, don’t be shy, please let me know–and I will get to it.

‘He’s Still God’

Erlene, this one’s for you–He’s Still God, by Carroll Roberson.

Scanning the news last night, trying to decide what to report this morning, it was all so bad, I almost laughed.

I don’t think God wants us to feel dismayed all the time. So maybe today–if I can get away with it–I’ll write about things other than the news.

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall have them in derision (Psalm 2). Our movers and shakers and wise men must be keeping Him in stitches, these days.
