By Popular Demand, ‘Holy, Holy, Holy’

Linda woke up with this hymn in her head the other day, and so requested it. The night before, I had it in my head as I went to bed–and so I’ve posted it: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty. This is a nice performance by Bryan Gilliland.

Hymn: ‘Holy, Holy, Holy’

I need a hymn this morning–don’t you? Here is Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God Almighty, performed by the choir at First Plymouth Church in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Please concentrate on the spirit of the hymn, and the beauty of the music, and try to ignore the replacement of the original line, “tho’ the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,” with the Gender Neutral inanity, “tho’ the eye of sinfulness.”

Encore: ‘Holy, Holy, Holy’

An understated rendering by Bryan Gilliland of this beloved 19th century hymn–I’m going to need it in my heart today.

Evil cannot come before the throne of the Most High, nor can folly be spoken in His presence.

Hymn, ‘Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty’

I wanted this with a big choir, lost of instruments, and a spirited tempo, but couldn’t find it. Meanwhile, okay, nice piano, organ, and beautiful visuals to house this grand old hymn: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty.

I’m all caught up on hymn requests. Some of you who haven’t made one yet, why not give it a whirl?

‘Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty’

No lyrics, just the organ. Think Isaiah 6: “…I saw also the Lord sitting on a throne… And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of His glory.” And Revelation 4: “[A] throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne… And the four beasts… rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.”
