Ah, Rutgers University! My alma mater. Something to be ashamed of.
Rutgers President Jonathan Holloway, along with several other “university officials,” last week high-tailed it out of a town hall (oh, please) when Pro-Hamas protesters got out of hand. Jewish students were left with only police to protect them (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/04/rutgers-president-flees-town-hall-event-where-pro/).
The wingding was organized, if that’s the word for it, by the Rutgers Student Assembly. It soon degenerated into loud calls for the “annihilation” of Israel. And the university president ran away.
I wonder what they would’ve talked about if anyone had had any interest in talking.
Rutgers has always been wrong. When I was a student there, class of ’71, it was all “Ho, Ho, Ho Chi Minh, NLF is gonna win!” Down with ROTC. Bomb threats closing down the halls in finals week.
So now it’s hooray for Hamas, wipe out Israel… and the damnfool liberals who fed and nurtured it don’t know what the hell to do. Welcome to Dr. Frankenstein’s Dilemma: you activate the monster, but you can’t control it.
